The project team is due to undertake initial highways works, which will prepare the site for construction in the new year.

The highways-only access works are scheduled to begin from Monday 9th November following the approval of all necessary licences, permits and consents from the LPAs and Highway Authority.

All activities will be undertaken in full compliance with the conditions attached to these approvals, together with all applicable statutory, environmental, health and safety, and operational requirements. The project team will continue to work closely with the relevant authorities throughout the delivery of the works to ensure they are completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption. The works must be carried out in the order stated by the Highways Authority.

Any disruption to the local road network for these works will extend to single lane closures with two-way lights during working hours only.

These access improvements have been designed not only to facilitate the project but also to provide a lasting benefit to the local highway network. The works will help enhance road infrastructure in the area, creating a positive legacy for local communities both during the construction phase and well beyond the operational life of the project.

Below is a programme outlining the forthcoming highways works activities and anticipated timetable. This work programme follows a sequence established by the highways authority and not the project team, broadly working from the edge of the site to its centre.
