Construction Engagement Forum (CEF)
A CEF will be established to provide a structured and transparent mechanism for communication throughout the construction period. It is intended to facilitate open dialogue, encourage early identification of issues, and support practical problem-solving between the project team and local communities across Rutland, South Kesteven and neighbouring areas.
This is a new forum for the project team, officers, elected representatives and the wider community to discuss matters pertaining to the construction works. It will ensure that attendees are informed of forthcoming works, have the opportunity to raise concerns, and can contribute local knowledge to help shape practical mitigation and management measures.
It will not cover matters pertaining to the construction fund or community benefit fund.
The proposed arrangements would see traffic and highways matters considered through the CEF and Traffic Coordination Group. The project team's view is that construction traffic forms part of a wider package of construction matters and is best considered alongside other issues such as noise, dust, ecology, drainage, public rights of way, communications and construction programme updates.
The project team will hold an initial meeting in the coming weeks to agree the programme, scope, structure and terms of reference for the CEF. A direct invitation will shortly be sent to proposed attendees.
