Ground investigations for Mallard Pass Solar Farm began on Monday 17th August and are expected to last approximately 6 weeks – these works do not mark the start of construction. The results of the survey will inform the piling design and account for differing ground conditions.

The survey will include test piling and soil testing across the site. The piling will start in the northwest area of the site and move to southern and eastern areas later in August. Safety precautions are being taken to dampen down the test areas with water bowsers and fire extinguishers on site. No works will take place on Saturdays, Sundays or the 31st August bank holiday.
